Kimmi Troy

Trauma-Informed Yoga Instructor

Utopia Spa and Global Wellness

Kimberlyn Martin Troy is a proud alum of Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana. She has been a Yoga and general fitness instructor for over a decade.

A native of Detroit, Michigan, Kimmi began her career teaching Third grade in a Detroit Public School. At this particular school, Meditation was a part of the curriculum and this was her introduction to the concept of a connection between the mind and the body. Never having an interest in fitness, it wasn’t until the birth of her son that Kimmi experienced how maintaining an active lifestyle directly affected her emotional wellness. She became a Zumba and Yoga instructor shortly thereafter.

Feeling passionate about sharing her experience with students in the community that helped shape her was one of the reasons she and her family moved to Granger, Indiana. Kimmi has been teaching Yoga and Zumba at Saint Mary’s and The University of Notre Dame for over seven years.

Kimmi has organized numerous charitable fitness events in the South Bend Community. She was a member of the Saint Mary’s Alumni Board and teaches annually for Reunion Weekend and the Spirituality Retreat. In addition to having owned her own fitness studio, she has partnered with the South Bend Community School Corporation, The Kelly Cares Foundation, The Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center, The South Bend Family and Children’s Center, The Alzheimer’s and Dementia Services of Northern Indiana, Stand Up To Cancer, The Center For The Homeless and many more. She is also an organizer for the Downtown South Bend Summer Fitness Series which offers free outdoor fitness classes taught by area instructors.

Kimmi lives in Granger with her husband and two children. She loves Game of Thrones, British Royal History, and Candy Crush. She puts her English Writing degree to work maintaining a blog at AlwaysOnTheFlow.com
